Mom + Dad | Lewes Beach, Delaware

Our parents are celebrating 39 years of marriage this summer! I visited their beach house recently and I documented some moments that hit me right in the heart, in a really good way. A weekend where my mom shared stories of her teenage years and my dad shared stories of chasing my moms heart from continent to continent. Stories where I found out my dad sold his mustang (and computer) in Venezuela so that he could afford following my mom to London, where she was sent to study English. Stories where my mom said they’d spend everyday on the beaches of Caracas falling more and more in love with each other (and eating the freshest caught seafood). And stories where summer love isn’t just in fairytale movies, but very much real life for mom and dad. On July, 31st, the most beautiful summer love, will celebrate 39 years married.
