I’m Karen, a Northern Virginia photographer who picked up a camera in 2015, said yes to photographing a few weddings, built a website, and somehow found myself creating what is now Enamor Film.
“Film” is part of the name as a nod to where photography truly began and the timeless aesthetic that continues to inspire my work. That influence carries through in the way I edit and approach every session, with intention, warmth, and a focus on storytelling.
My kids are my favorite practice subjects. They can’t hold a pose for more than a second or two, but that’s kind of the point. They’ve taught me that the ordinary moments, the messy ones, the in-between ones, are the memories that matter most. That belief shapes everything I photograph.

Laughter matters. Connection matters. I don’t believe anyone is ever “awkward” in front of the camera. Give me five minutes with you, and I promise things will feel natural, relaxed, and honest. My goal is for you to feel seen, comfortable, and completely yourself, so your photos feel like you, not a version of you trying to perform.
This is me! The girl cheering you on during your photoshoot, busting a move with you on the dance floor at your wedding, and making sure you feel comfortable and confident the whole time. After just an hour together, I hope it feels like you’re hanging out with a friend who just gets you.

When I’m not behind the camera capturing your story, my life is full of family, adventure, and little joys. I studied graphic design at GMU and married my high school sweetheart. We have a boy and a girl who are currently learning to be best friends in the sweetest way possible. As a family, we love camping together during all months of the year, even embracing the quiet magic that comes with colder months outdoors. I love a good beer, loud music, dancing, and all things bunny-related (as I’ve rescued 2 since 2007!) Traveling is my favorite, and we’ve explored 15 countries so far—I can’t wait to see where my family and I go next!
